Of course. She will get nothing but kindness from my team and I, Haurchefant. I promise you that.
[And she means it. Each and every one of her Pokemon are quite dear to her anymore.
Her expression shifts to amusement now as she cradles the baby Pokemon, gently petting her ears much to the Vulpix's delight.]
I'm sure it would. I have a few that I wasn't sure about so I tried to be as neutral with their names as I could. Ultimately I don't think Pokemon seem to mind much.
He'd be far too distracted to care about a female Pokemon being named after him, I'm sure.
[Cissnei will make sure you're pleased with the care the little one gets, Haurchefant.
Her Furfrou finally makes another appearance, coming from behind the young woman to sniff at the Vulpix. The baby looks confused for a moment before twilling in greeting and licking Shuriken's nose. The Furfrou let's out a snort but seems amused, returning the lick before sitting beside her trainer.]
I do. I've still got pictures from that weekend, actually.
The idea of friendly creatures like Pokemon is still so strange to me. I enjoy it, quite a bit, but back home this sort of thing wasn't possible.
[Befriending them. Using them to fight in a battle with you. Not gonna happen.]
Why? Zubat isn't that bad! [Cissnei's lips quirk into a grin as her Furfrou let's out a chuffing snort.] Was he pleased with his new namesake, at least?
...As it is to me, dear Cissnei. Though some fight alongside Chocobo, and others have young pets who are to be trained for such deeds... it's much nicer here.
[ a beat. ]
Alas, he's not seen it. Perhaps if that weekend happens again, he can grace us with how a Gallade suits him. Or if my Pokemon can return home, if I were to vanish. And I suppose he saw my dear bat as frightening - dear Emmanellian is very excitable.
[ ...Note how he doesn't seem to think he'd return home. ]

[The baby twilled again, looking up at Cissnei then back to the 'gear, head tilting.]
Yes, she is.

I'm glad you know - why, when I named my Servine, I had no idea she was a girl. I wonder if it amuses the man I named her after...

We can only hope the Lord Commander doesn't arrive in a bitter mood! Though I can imagine him seeing me would give him quite a shock, in any case!
[ A beat. ]
Do you recall that weird, but splendid weekend?

[ oh my gosh this is so cute haurchefant is sort of. beaming. ]
As do I. My brother came - my younger one, Emmanellian. And he found out I named my Zubat after him - oh, he seemed to be so disappointed.
...So I caught a Ralts to name after him, and my elder brother. Both half-brothers, mind you.

[She gives him a gentle smile.]
I'm sure, either way, he'll be ultimately pleased.
